Blackmoor
The Blackmoor region is mostly devoid of human habitation - these are lush, wild lands where wild creatures rule. The moorland stretches a great distance, from the back door of Dalruan in the south to the dread forest of Vathegis in the North, and as such there is much variance in terrain, although for the most part is consisted of wet grassland and bogs, occasionally marked by a protruding monolith or barrow left by an ancient nomadic race of men. One notable trait of this area is that it rarely stops raining.

The Yseulte
The inhospitable landscape of the mountainous Yseulte region is infested with orcs, hobgoblins and other such unfriendly creatures that make it very dangerous to travel here at night. Many a wanderer has been dragged below ground as they slept in this region, and never seen again. Aside from the local inhabitants and bitterly cold gales, those who come ill-prepared will have a difficult time traversing the dark, barren rock because almost nothing grows here that can be used for sustenance on long journeys. The few dry, brittle plants which do manage to live here are highly poisonous, and even a scrape of their thorns can result in a quick, painful death. The area is known to those living in Arangoth as 'Shagól'.

Three Isles
The Isle of Women is located deep within a deadly trap; in the middle of a triplet of islands. The first, Insect Isle, is an island inhabited by a colony of huge insect-like creatures that can take to the sky or sea in the search of food for their insatiable queen. These creatures are humanoid in appearance, but have the make up of insects, similar to wasps or ants. They walk on two legs, are able to use tools, and even make boats.
The third of the islands is also a place to be feared, it is an isle inhabited by Harpies. The bird/woman creatures are often hungry for flesh and use the bodies of victims to create clothes and provide all other necessities. This is most apparent when one sees the Harpies' Palace of Skulls.
However even despite these troubles, or maybe because of them, it is the Isle of Women that flourishes. The Isle of Women is called as such because the women of this island are legendary as warriors. Many are much stronger than their male counterparts, for long ago a terrible and strange plague hit this place, all but wiping out the male population. The ones who survived helped replenish the male element, but women are still the majority and the constant battles against the monsters of the other islands have honed the skills of these people to a razor sharp edge. It would be most wise to learn what you can while you are here.
